Essie Power Clutch and Wet n Wild The Star of the Show

Hi Everyone,

I'm having that feeling like I don't know what to wear because I have too many choices.  I grabbed a couple of polishes and went to work...

 

I forgot to take a picture of Essie Power Clutch alone.  It's a dark grayed out green creme.  Looks more gray on my nails.  The formula is thin but was easy to apply.  I used three coats.

 

 

I just purchased Wet n Wild The Star of the Show and was anxious to put it on so I layered on one coat.  I had to fish out the stars and barely got any of the confetti holographic strings on my nails.  These glitters are in a thick clear jelly base.

 

It's nothing to go and brag about but it's doable.  What do you guys think?

A Frankening Change

Hi Everyone, Hope your week is going good for you.  I made an easy franken polish that's made from Wet n Wild Black Creme and Lynnderella Change.  

 

Lynnderella's Change is quite beautiful consisting of all sizes of gold, silver bronze, copper glitters you know just like your pocket change.  I poured some into an empty bottle and added a few drops of the black creme until I was satisfied.  I didn't want to add to much black drowning out the glitter.

 

 

As you see from my frankening bottle the base looks black but once I applied it to my nails it has a murky swampy greenish translucent look to it.  I think it's interesting and I like it because the glitters aren't hidden from the base.

 

 

 

 

I haven't named this franken, any suggestions?

Teal Tuesdays...Challenge Half Moon

Today is Teal Tuesdays and the challenge: Half Moon

I was excited to take on this challenge because I done it once and was very pleased with the look.  The first time I took on the challenge I used reinforcements  to tape off for the moon design.  Lo and behold I couldn't find them.  So, I tried to freehand the moon...bad decision it looked like a first grader took on the challenge. Lol!  I grabbed my Nailene french tip guides, they did okay but it didn't give the round curve shape I was looking for. 

 
After applying my base coat I polished on 2 coats of L'oreal Now You See Me.  It's a pretty greyed teal creme and sorta jelly like.  This polish is thin, I had some dragging problems with it.  Next time I'll make sure I let the first coat dry thoroughly.

I applied a coat of Seche Vite so the first polish can dry faster.  I waited about 10 mins. and applied the french tip guides carefully.  I layered a coat of Wet n' Wild  On a Trip.  I am in love with this purple shade.  I think it's gorgeous!  The bottle brush is hugh I mean so hugh it looks like a snow shovel.  I immediately removed the french tip guides and viola! I'm not crazy about the moon shape here but I'm loving the color combo! Whoo Who!

  I almost put a layer of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength, Glass Slipper (white flakies) over the top but decided to leave it as is.

Weekend Nails with Spoiled Cougar Attack

Yesterday while walking around in CVS went to check to see if they had gotten in the new line by Wet n Wild *Spoiled*.  Most of this collection put me in the mind of Sinful Colors.  I did pick up a few of the multi-colored glitters.  (Geesh, I think I have enough glitters already)  I picked up Cougar Attack and thought the name sounded familiar, come to find out Wet n Wild had this one in their On The Prowl Collection.  I never found this collection in my area so you know I was happy to find this little gem.

Cougar Attack-packed full of copper glitter suspended in a brown jelly base.  The formula was thick so I added a few drops of thinner to make my application easy.  The brush was a whopper but it helped cover the polish well on my nails.  2 coats.

Wet N Wild Copa Cabana

Good Morning, I dabbled in my draw and pulled out these two bright and cheery colors from Wet N Wild Craze Collection.  Copa and Cabana.  Copa is a creme that went on so smooth and only required 2 coats.  I hand painted it on across the nail on one side. Cabana is a really really gorgeous glitter/shimmer that is smooth on the nail.  It glows in the sun.  I applied 2 coats.  

Here I used  konad plate M8 along with konad special polish white.  It makes me think of a water sprinkler. I added on some black rhinestones.

The Wet n Wild Color Craze Collection have some great colors.  The bottles are so cute.   I should have tried to create the design on the bottle cap.

Blue Monday, Ocean Breeze with Nailart

Good Morning Nail Beautiquers,  I hope you had a lovely weekend.  Last night I was trying to decide on what to put on as far as polish.  I roamed around in one of my drawers and pulled out Loreal Ocean Breeze from the LE Passport to Paradise Summer Collection 2010.  It's a lovely deep sky blue.  I thought it was a creme.  It's a jelly!  I get so excited when I get a jelly.  It surely is one of my favorite finish.   

3 coats were used

  Trying to be alittle creative with some nailart.  These are the goodies I used:

Sunny Yellow,  Silver Glitter, White, Silver, Blue Moon

A Funky French Crackle

I went to dollar tree and found a couple of old school Cover Girl Crackles.  For this mani  I waited for my base color to dry before putting on the crackle polish.  Did you find these?  Which colors?  Which do you prefer a cracking glass effect or a shatter effect?

Sinful Pink Forever and CoverGirl Ghost Crackle

It took some patience for this crackle to crack.  I waited at least 7-8 mins. It wasn't easy to clean up either  but, it was well worth it.
