30 Days Of Purple Day 1: CG Purplexed

Debbie's blog "The Crumpet"  is doing a 30 days of purple for the month of November.  I am a purple lover and I decided to join her.  It's not a challenge persa because anything goes just as long as it's purple.   I'll see how long I can keep up I'll even incorporate some nail art on some days.  I'm excited to show you all the lovely purples that I have in my stash.

Cover Girl Perplexed

This post can also be a "Throwback Thursdays" post featuring Cover Girl Purplexed.  It is an oldie but goodie in my book.  A lovely purple duochrome that shifts from green to an amber gold.  I'm not to good at taking pictures in the sun (any suggestions?) and the sun wasn't quite bright enough to show off all the colors.  I'm sorry my pictures aren't very good.

The formula was thin but not problematic as far as application.  It built up nicely for me with 3 coats.

Ah! see the colors of green and amber

I'm loving this purple duochrome from Cover Girl.  I believe I purchased it at Dollar Tree awhile ago.  Cover Girl decided to make polishes again I saw their new collection at my local Walgreens, but they aren't as lovely as their older ones just your basic creme colors and some shimmers.

Are you a purple lover?  Come and join us on this purple spree for the month of November.

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠)

CoverGirl Crackle Boo Hoo!

After playing with Cover Girl's white crackle now it's time for her black crackle.  It's nothing like Black Shatter as you can see.  She cracks totally different.  Black Shatters formula is thicker and cracks or shatters as soon as you lay it down.  Cover Girl takes some some to start and finish cracking.  Since I'm a lover of crackle polishes I love them the same. Oh, and if you're wondering where I got the Cover Girl's I found them at Dollar Tree

After Finger Paints Dahlia By Number  (From the 'New' Finger Paints Palette Of Petals Collection) dried completely I applied one thin coat of Boo Hoo!  If you want to see Dahlia By Number alone click here

I think my index finger looks like a lightning bolt

I hope you find some of these crackles.  Did you find other colors?  I want the orange and yellow one.

Go Green Friday! A Ruffian Crackle

(Live Green, Love Green, Think Green)

Good Morning everyone it's Friday!! Whoo Who.  See my big smile.  I have been wanting to do a Ruffian Mani for quite sometime.  Still playing with crackle polish.  After swatching all of my finger paints and still had on Chrysanthe mums the word I topped it with one layer of Cover Girl Ghost Crackle.  I think it's fairly cool looking.

I want to call this Crack Green Eggs and Ham. Lol!

Going Green Tip: Hang outside to dry-Get a cloths line or rack to dry your cloths. Your cloths will last longer and you will save money.

A Funky French Crackle

I went to dollar tree and found a couple of old school Cover Girl Crackles.  For this mani  I waited for my base color to dry before putting on the crackle polish.  Did you find these?  Which colors?  Which do you prefer a cracking glass effect or a shatter effect?

Sinful Pink Forever and CoverGirl Ghost Crackle

It took some patience for this crackle to crack.  I waited at least 7-8 mins. It wasn't easy to clean up either  but, it was well worth it.

Here is my  Funky French Crackle
On my tips I used Wet N Wild Black Creme

Strawberry Swirl...Hmm!
