Look Book: Snowing Between The Cracks

Brr!  It's not that cold where I live.  Ha, Ha,  I wish it did snow here.  Here is the start of my winter nail designs.

Pure Ice Eyes of Steel with crackle polish Lightning Strikes.  I pulled out my HB23 stamping plate that has various snow flakes images.  Then I applied random white dots to mimic falliing snow.

I like the way this turned out.  Doesn't it make you feel cold...brr!  Don't slip between the cracks.  Ha, Ha :P

P.S.  I decided to enter this look in a contest over at Nail Polish Canada.com please vote for me.  If you want to join in go right ahead.  Thanks guys :D

Combination: OPI DS Luxurious and OPI Blue Shatter

Hi Everyone,

I love trying different combination of colors but by far one of my favorites is Orange and Blue.  I must try a gradient with them...hmm sounds interesting doesn't it or what about a layering glitter in orange and blue, must try it too.

I know most of you are tired of crackle polish but have to admit that we all beat it to death just awhile back.   Well I'm bring it back alive at least just for today.

OPI Blue Shatter and OPI DS Luxurious

2 coats of Luxurious and 1 coat of Blue Shatter

Do you like this combo?  What are your favorites?

Blueberries

Good Morning,

After wearing OPI Planks Alot for two days I wanted a fresh mani. I pulled out OPI Navy Shatter.  Boy I'm glad I did.  I love the contrast that it gave me mid-tone blue to dark blue but it's shown more so on the pictures then in real life.  After applying I thought of blueberries. Lol! Yum Yum *-*

It's a good thing Navy Shatter and Seche Vite is quick drying because I'm running laaate...now I got to get to work.

I love adding them in my smoothies

Blueberries are high in anti-oxidants. Also, they are low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. They are a good source of dietary fiber, vitamins C and K and magnesium.

Sally Hansen Distressed Denim...C R A C K L E

Good Morning,

Are you all cracked out yet!!  Sometimes I am and sometimes I'm not.  As of right now I'm not. Lol!  I love the color of Sally Hansen's Distressed Denim.  When I picked it up I thought it was a twin to Revlon's Royal.  Distressed Denim looks like a royal blue color from the bottle.  It's a jelly texture and the color is much darker on the nail. I thought the tiny brush was going to give me trouble but no troubles at all.   It looks amazing over Finger Paint's Give Pink A Chance.

I love the way the cracks turned out large not teeny tiny.  I applied it using a left to right swishing motion.

SH OverCoat Antique Gold

Good Morning,

It's all about the crackle.  SH Overcoat.  Pretty cleaver of Sally coming up with the name.  I like the square bottle too with the crackle lid.  The prices of these are pretty steep don't you think?  $7.99 Gesh!  Some Walgreen's have them for $6.99 and  Walmart has them priced at $6.24.  The other problem I have with these is the brush...why is the brush sooo tiny?!  It would have been nice if these had the same brushes as the Sally Hansen complete salon manicure ones.

I like Antique Gold's formula.  The gold is so sparkly.  I haven't tried the others yet.

                                  Antique Gold
I don't think pictures show the true actual prettiness of crackles.  After I applied a topcoat it glistens and shines can't see it in the pictures though.

Did you grab any of the Overcoats?  Which ones?  Which ones do you like?

Cracked Concrete Nailart

Good Morning,

I loved my shimmery silver nails so much I wasn't ready to remove it.  Layering is so much fun you can change a look with so many different finishes.  I choose China Glaze's Cracked Concrete.  I know many of you don't like crackle polish but, to me it's like adding on nailart without all the fuss.  It's so easy just brush on boom, boom and your done.  I applied it with a criss cross motion and then applied topcoat that's it!

Have you jumped on the crack wagon?

Purple on Purple

Good Morning,  Zoya Malia is  from the Twist Spring Collection 2009.  Malia is a creamy muted lilac purple.  It went on so smooth.  It's very pigmented!  If I took my time could have used one coat but I used my usual  2 coats. Spring is in the air.

Here is where I applied China Glaze Fault Line.  I was so afraid it wasn't going to crack because there was alot of complaints on MUA that it doesn't crack well.  I'm impressed!

Without topcoat

With topcoat

I love these 2 together. How is Fault Line working for you?
