Pink Wednesday: Button Down Fuchsia Coat

Good Morning, Priti NYC  Mulberry Jam is such a gorgeous glitter and I think it's perfect to wear on Pink Wednesday.  I wanted a design so I added black dots down the middle of my nails.

First I added on a large dot below my cuticles.  Then I added on smaller ones.  I think it's really cute, looks like a button down fuchsia coat wouldn't you agree?

I love this glitter it's bold and it sparkles

What are your thoughts?  What are you wearing on Pink Wednesday?

Pink Wednesday, Pink and Gold with Elegance

Hi Everyone,  This week is moving quite rapidly it's already the middle of the week.  Again, Pink Wednesday with elegant colors of pink and gold.

Here is NOPI Don't Over Pink It, it's the perfect pink to be paired up with gold. The gold is Bettina Glamour Celebrate

After applying the pink and letting it dry I applied the gold on the right side of each nail.  It's simple yet elegant and appealing to the eyes.  Love, love, love this gold it is so sparkly and looks like real liquid gold can't wait to wear it alone.  I think I will wear it as my base and stamp over it, sounds exciting, eh?

I'll definitely be wearing this combo again.  What are your thoughts?

Pink Wednesday, Leopard Print Nails

Hi Everyone,  Do you like animal prints?  Which ones? Leopard, Zebra, Giraffe just to name a few.  I love them in clothing, handbags, house accessories just about anything.  Today, I did leopard prints on my nails.  It's a fun and easy design to do and I plan on doing more.  They are really striking when they are done with various color bases and colored spots.

My base is Pure Ice Nude Beach which is a very pale pink creme.  The gold glitter is OPI Gift of Gold (2010 OPI Ulta Exclusive Winter Collection) it also has some red glitter in it. The black is Wet n Wild Ebony Hates Chris.  I achieved this lovely print by laying down the golden spots in random shapes with my dotting tool also with my dotting tool I outlined the spots with black it can't get any easier than that.

I love my nails and I can't stop looking at them.

What do you guys think? Have you tried leopard print nails?

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠)

Pink Wednesday, OPI Elephantastic Pink

Hi Guys,
Hump day already.  I have on OPI Elephantastic Pink from the OPI Spring 2008 India Collection

OPI Elephantastic Pink
Elephantastic Pink is a  happy pink it's bright but not too bright.   I love the crelly texture (half jelly, half creme).  I wish I can turn all my chalky cremes into crellies they are so much easier to apply then the chalky ones.

Pink Wednesday, Hare Polish: Dog Day Dream

Waves Hi,  After wearing SinfulColors Hot Hot Heat I thought it was a good base to wear with my newest polish that I purchased, Hare Polish Dog Day Dream.  After seeing swatches of it from various bloggers I knew I had to have it.  I kid you not you have to see this right in front of your own eyes.  I'm telling you if you were to ask me what polish I would wear for the rest of my life if I were stranded on a beach I would choose Hare Polish Dog Day Dream!

Hare Dog Day Dream

Dog Day Dream a gorgeous fuchsia jelly that's engulfed with purple and pink glitters.  It's too thick to polish on, I'm not complaining but dabbing it on works best. I added a layer of Gelous followed with a coat of Seche Vite topcoat.

I can't stop staring at my nails.  Hubbie and my friends love it too!

Hare Polish Dog Day Dream

Hare polish is one of my favorite Indie Polishes.  Nikole knows how to make luscious jellies with glitter.  I want her entire collection!

Here is a picture of my dominant hand.  I have been contemplating on changing my nail shape to almonds.  I'm loving the shape, it might sound crazy but I like the idea of just having my dominant hand in almonds and leaving my right hand square. Lol!

If you don't own Dog Day Dream I suggest you get it. (It's out of stock right now)  I tell no lie you will love it!  Hare Polish can be purchase at etsy  or shop.llarowe.com

Pink Wednesday with OPI Steady As She Rose

Finally got a chance to put a pink on my nails.  I am so behind in swatching my polish collections.  OPI Steady As She Rose is from the 2011 Pirates of the Caribbean collection.  It's a dusty pale pink creme that I think is just lovely on the nails.

I know some are calling it purple but I think it looks pink in the bottle and against my skin tone. (What do you guys think? Maybe a pinky-purple? )  It took 2 coats to reach opacity and the formula was easy to work with.

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠)

Pink Wednesday Featuring...It's So Easy

It's Pink Wednesday and it's time for some nailart using some cracked ice flakies from It's So Easy.  I just did some little experimenting using these on natural nails.  The one I'm using today is Fuchsia green.  I like the name Cracked Ice that's just what they look like...shaving pieces of ice.

It's So Easy Cracked Ice Fuchsia Green

Cracked Ice Fuchsia Green is a beautiful flakie that is fuchsia in color and flashes with multiple colors including green.  The green is not showing here but trust me it's green.

While the polish was still wet I placed the flakies on using an orange stick.  I wet the end of the orange stick with some water and dipped the stick into the pot picking up several pieces of flakie and placed them on the nail gently.   I wanted a backward french style that's why the flakies are packed on.  But, next time I will place them on one at a time so they will lie down.

Pink Wednesday...Polka Dot Nail Art Design

Polka Dots maybe the easiest nail art design that can be done.  I had to practice trying to make them look uniform.  My problem was being in a hurry but you have to take your time if you want them done nicely.

I started out using my dotting tool placing the dots by eyeballing them evenly down the middle.  Then place the dots on the sides in between the middle dots.

Pink Wednesday...Butter London Disco Biscuit

Good Morning,

Remember my post "Maybe A Dupe to Disco Biscuit"? Well I was curious and I just couldn't get Butter London Disco Biscuit out of my mine.  I went to Ulta and purchased it.  From the bottle they look like close dupes except Funky Fingers Manic Flamingo has pink and the purple/blue shimmer.  BL Disco Biscuit  has the purple/blue shimmer/glitter in a bright pink jelly base.  I didn't have time to do a side by side comparison.  The pictures show that they are different.

I was disappointed that it dried to a dull finish you know how some neon colors look before you apply topcoat? Once I applied Seche Vite topcoat the jelly goodness appeared.

I applied 2 coats.  Maybe I should have applied a 3rd coat.  Although my visible nail line is showing I don't mind it with jelly textured polishes.

I really like the jelly texture because even though it's dry it still looks wet.

The formula was easy to apply

Did you pick up Disco Biscuit to wear this Spring/Summer 2012?  What are your thoughts?  What are you wearing on Pink Wednesday?
