Teal Tuesdays...Marine Blue and Splatter Nails

I'm late and I'm running to hurry and post before it 's Wednesday.  I'm having a hard time looking for a teal lacquer, okay I found one.  Clarie's Marine Blue.  This is the most gorgeous Teal it's a mid-tone blue based teal that dries matte.  I applied 3 coats then  Poshe' topcoat nice and shiny.

Photos are not the correct coloring it's more teal...sorry camera would not act right.

Teal Tuesdays Facebook Challenge:  Splatter Nails

I made the attempt to try splatter nails using the blow in the straw method, but it did not work for me.  So, I had to start over Lol! will try again another time.  I pulled out my trusty Konad Stamping plate M21 much, much easier!

The egg yolk looking splatter color is Konad special polish Gold Brown. It didn't stamp opaque enough against the teal and it doesn't look the same as in the bottle an orange/brown shade.  I then stamped it again with Finger Paints Cordur-Orange much better.

My middle finger and thumb also painted with FP Cordur-Orange and stamped with Claries Marine Blue along with Konad special polish in Black and White.

Overall I'm pleased the way it turned out.  Have you tried splatter nails?  What method do you use?

Basketball and Nail Polish: 30 Day NBA Challenge Day 4 *CLIPPERS*

Today's challenge:  Los Angeles Clippers
Team colors: Royal Blue, Red, White

Hi Guys,

I'm getting some use out of Lechat Dare To Wear Back To Basics Collection.  I really like the formula on these.  The red is an opaque jelly!

Used Bundle Monster Plate BM21
White: Lechat Dare To Wear, Rue St. Vincent
Used Konad Special Polish, White, Blue, Red

Red: Lechat Dare To Ware, True Red

Blue: Lechat Dare To Wear, Ocean View

History

The Los Angeles Clippers first came into existence as the Buffalo Braves in 1970. The Braves were one of three expansion franchises to join the NBA that year (the Portland Trail Blazers and the Cleveland Cavaliers were the other two), as the league dueled with the upstart American Basketball Association for prominence. After struggling through their first few campaigns, the Braves soon found playoff success under the coaching of the legendary Dr. Jack Ramsay and high scoring Bob McAdoo. Unfortunately, drastic changes in the organization's ownership during the 1976-77 season threw the team into a tailspin, resulting in back-to-back losing seasons.

Moon, Bronze and Flowers

Good Morning,

After stopping at the post office to drop off a package I wasn't quite ready to go home so I stopped into a Walgreen's that I haven't been to for awhile.  I found SH Xtreme Wear Pumpkin Spice.  I then saw a new display of SH Insta-Dri's and picked up the last Bronze Ablaze. It's a bronze shimmer with a hint of green.   In the store it sorta looked like Chanel's Peridot but, as you can see on the nail it's not a dupe.

I for one love all colors but sometimes they might not be the right color for my skintone.  So,  what did I do...added other colors that compliment my skintone.

Next time you see a color or want it go ahead and pick it up and play with it.

The dots are a lovely teal creme by Ruby Kisses (no name on bottle)

I used konad stamp plate M82 with white special polish

The moon is a nude color by OPI Tickle My Francey it's my go to color. To get the moon I used reinforcements

Do you buy colors that doesn't compliment your skintone?

I Won!! Lex Cosmetics...PeaBow

Good Morning,

Do you remember on January 30, 2011 I asked you to vote for me?  Well, guess what!  I won!!  I entered into a contest with Lex Cosmetics.  My color of choice won! Thank you so much for voting for me *-*  Peabow is now available here .  If you purchase $1.00 will go toward animal protection.

PeaBow is a Blue/Purple it's what I would describe as a Bluple.  It's a cream with hint of blue shimmer  flashing through.  I used 3 coats.

Blues and purples are hard to capture.  In real life it has more purple in it.

Here I used bundle Monster Plates BM15 and BM212 along with Konad Special Nail Polish

Don't throw darts at me. Lol!

"When I look at a beautiful peacock it reminds me of my creator looking at how artistic the world is and as I look up into the sky seeing a colorful rainbow is a reassuring promise."

(I hope you like Peabow)

Sunny Side Up

Good Morning,

Orange is such a bright lively color...my mani looks like a tall glass of Orange Juice.  Yummy!  It's my favorite color to wear for the summer months.  Wet N Wild 'Wild Shine' Sunny Side Up did not disappoint me.   It's creamy on the thin side but 3 coats gave me the opacity that I wanted.

Not bad for 99 cents, I picked up a couple of Wild Shines when Walgreens marked them down to 50 cents.  I could not pass up a great deal :P  Woot!

I decided to give  OPI Silver Shatter a try. Using one coat then a topcoat.  I love how the orange is peaking through.  These 2 colors go very well together.

As an accent I used Bundle Monster Plate BM-207 with Konad Special White Polish (I am really lovely these plates ya'll)

There you have it.  I hope you like it :D

I'm still on the lookout for the Mermaid's Cove Collection.

Blue Monday, Teal and Purple

Blue Monday by Annie Lee

Good Morning, I hope you had a great weekend.  The weather here in Florida was great!  One of my Walgreen's had a Managers special on Sinful Colors for 50 cents.  I told one of my friends that's starting to love nail polish she bought every color they had. Lol!  I picked up a few colors that I didn't have and I'm featuring one of them today.

Savage  I don't know why they named it that.  It's a beautiful teal cream.  To my surprise it applied like a jelly but it dried to a matte finish.  Of course I applied topcoat  and now it looks like a cream finish.  Savage is very opaque no problems with the formula.  I noticed the brush is different then my other ones from this brand.  The brush is wider and I just love it.

My dress is the exact same color.  The inside lining is purple so I used Revlon's Top Speed 670 Violet to my middle finger and used my new Konad Plate M82 with Konad Special Polish White Pearl.

My camera would not capture this color well.  It's more teal then blue

Outside shots

Do you have a collection of SinfulColors?  Which ones are your favorite?
