30 Days Of Purple, Day 6: Nina Ultra Pro PURPLE-XING

Finally getting back on track with my 30 Days of Purple.  It's so hard for me to commit to a challenge when there is so many things to do in life besides swatching polishes. (Did I say that?! Lol!)  But, I'll try my best to keep it going even though I'm not up to date here is day six.  I'll be done sometime in 2013 :P

Nina Ultra Pro Purple-Xing

Gorgeous, right?  I'd say Purple-Xing is one of the best jelly holographic purple polishes I've seen.  Great formula and price.  I bought this from my local Sally's a long, long time ago.  I don't know if it's still available at the store but I think it's available online.  Nina Ultra Pro packaging has changed to a rounder  bottle and with a sleek handle.

I used three coats to cover well.  You purple lovers if you don't own this amazing polish you need to get it.  I think you will love it just as much as I do.  Why would you pass it up? Lol!

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠)

30 Days Of Purple Day 3: Dry Water Marble

Hi Guys it's Saturday Morning and I am on day 3.  Yesterday, I showed you a zebra stamping design, I was going to stamp my dominant hand (l'm a lefty) to but since they are way longer I probably would have to double stamp them and I knew it would be a hassle doing so.  I took the easy way out and did a dry water marble. Note: It's not strange for me to have different colors/patterns on each hand. Lol! (It's all good)

Base: Sinful Colors Fig, lighter purple Wet n Wild megalast On A Trip
Fig was already dry so I just layered on a coat of clear polish and laid down drops of On A Trip on my nails.  Before the clear coat and the droplets dried I ran the tip end of my dotter with a swirling motion forming the marble effect.  Easy peasy.

Bye, bye almonds
I enjoyed my almonds but some good things have to come to an end.  I have a crack on the side of my ring finger and I don't like repairs because I don't think they hold up well.  As the saying goes back to the drawing board.  Nails are just like hair...right?  They do grow back :)

Have a good weekend guys!

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠)

30 Days Of Purple Day 2: Sinful Colors Fig

It's Day 2, last week I went to several Walgreens looking for the new Sinful Colors Holiday Shimmer Collection since they were on sale for 99 cents.  I didn't find them, but I did pickup a few that I didn't have. One of them is Sinful Colors Fig it's a lovely purple cream with fuchsia pink shimmer.

                                              Sinful Colors Fig

I am absolutely in love with this polish, love the flash of shimmer in it. It applied very well only needing 2 coats.   I heard that it's a dupe to OPI Plugged in Plum which I do not have to compare.

I decided to stamp over it with a zebra print using konad special polish wine red with image plate Mash-41.  After stamping I was really pleased with the look of wine red over Fig.  This is what it looked like before topcoat.

Awesome right? Got the design on straight (I'm so proud) :p

I layered on one coat of the old Revlon Colorstay topcoat then a coat of Out the door tc.  After taking the pictures this is what it looks like...boo!

What happened?  The topcoat washed out the color! I never had this happen. Has this happened to you? Thank goodness it's not as washed out in person as the photos are showing, but still not as nice as before topcoat.

So, how are you liking Fig and did you find the Holiday Shimmers?

Until next time please have a great nail polish day. (✿◠‿◠)
