Teal Tuesdays Challenge:  Glossy/Matte

I was stumped by this challenge fumbling around trying to come up with an idea.  For some reason when I think of a matte I think only black looks good matted.  I thought about mattifying my teal color but for some reason I didn't want to try that.  I'm pretty pleased kinda sorta but, it took me several tries to get it looking right.  I had bubbling issues, not applying neatly I guess ♪it's just one of them days♪  You know what I'm talking about.  Ha! 

NYX Girls Algae

The teal is NYX Girls Algae a very pretty teal creme. I used two coats.  For my accent ring finger I used a stark matte white took three coats to get opaque OPI Alpine Snow Matte was released fall 2009.  Stamped using Mash38 using the heartbeat image design.

 I'm loving these new Mash plates!

I wanted the matte to last so I layered on a coat of China Glaze Matte Magic for extra protection.

Sunday with Purples

I let hubby pick my polish color today and he said purple.  It's funny because when I asked him to pick a color I was thinking about a purple. I swear the man can read my mine.

Anyways, I stopped into Sally's a few weeks ago they had some Finger Paint polishes on sale.  I was surprise to see Grape Gumball so I grabbed it being it was the last one.  Score!  FP Grape Gumball is from the Gumdrops & Lollipops Collection Spring 2012.

Grape Gumball is a blue based purple that is shimmery with colors of silver, blue and pink.  Only the silver is showing up on the nail but in certain lighting I can see the other colors.

    I decided to do some accent nailart on my ring finger.  

First I added Sparitual Lucid on the left side corner then layered FP Grape Gumball on the right side  further up the nail. As you can see added on the lines and dots.

Grape Gumballs...Yummy I can pack my mouth full of them, Ha Ha

Claw Marks Nail Art Design

Good Morning Happy Friday to you,

I'm liking the look of nail art over neons.  I think it tones down some of the brightness protecting the retinas Lol!  Here is an eye catcher design claw marks or scratches.


                                       Sation: You Butter Tell Me

 
To make the claw marks I used my black and white L.A. Colors Art Deco nail lacquer stripers.
